Robert Hand gives that first in concrete terms and then in psychological ones, and the psychological reading is the one that applies whether or not there is a house involved.
He calls it, in the end, an extremely supportive relationship.

Jupiter in a composite chart signifies the areas that will provide a solid basis for growth through the relationship. Hand says a strong Jupiter helps to ensure that whatever the course of the relationship, both people will be aware of how much they have been helped by being together. The house position designates which aspect of the relationship is emphasised as a growth area, one the two can depend on for sustenance and which will not be the cause of conflict and difficulty.
The fourth house represents more than the home, especially in a composite. Hand notes that many relationships have nothing that could be called a home and the house stays important anyway. It is angular, which adds significance, and it indicates the basic roots of a relationship both literally in geographic terms and figuratively in terms of mental and emotional background. He calls it the innermost depths of a relationship, which may be so far within as to be invisible at the surface, and the place to check for underlying compatibility.
How It Tends To Play Out
The concrete picture Hand draws is hospitable. Both people will be happiest in a large home where they can entertain extensively and have lots of company. In such a setting they would be extremely generous and hospitable, and yet would always have enough for anyone who came along. He sums up the symbolism as protecting and nurturing people through sharing.
The psychological reading carries further. This relationship will reinforce both people and give them a feeling of security and safety as they approach the outside world. Hand admits the mechanism is not obvious to those inside it, saying they may not understand exactly how this happens, but that they can rest assured they do help each other in this way. Whatever difficulties the two encounter in the world, they will be able to turn to each other for sustenance.
He adds a material note where it applies. Where the two own land or real estate together, Jupiter in the fourth signifies that they may have such property in abundance and that it is likely to be a major source of wealth.
The Opposite House

Two midpoints exist for any pair of planets, and although the nearer one is used, the farther one keeps some effect, an effect that increases as the two natal positions approach opposition. Hand's reading of Jupiter there describes a strong concern with goals and status, an emphasis on integrity and honesty, and in a professional context a strong indication of success. Read as an axis, the fourth is the security a relationship provides at its base and the tenth is the standing it has in the world. Both houses are angular, so both ends carry weight, and the two readings describe the same growth from underneath and from above.
Hand gives no threshold for when the second reading takes over and no method for blending the two. Both stand.
Where It Gets Difficult
Hand attaches no explicit warning to Jupiter in the fourth. Stating that is more useful than inventing a caution, and the honest pressure points come from his general remarks.
On the planet, he says what Jupiter brings should not be taken totally for granted, and that there is always a danger of overextending in the area where Jupiter is significant, which can turn it into a source of difficulty. Where the energy flows easily, trouble is unlikely. Where it flows with difficulty, problems usually come from doing something to excess. In the fourth house the available excess is scale and hospitality, a household that grows past what supports it.
On the house, he notes that afflictions to the fourth affect the home, if there is one, and the deepest levels of compatibility.
He also says plainly that Jupiter is not usually a major source of trouble in a chart and can usually be counted on to bring benevolent results.
The house sets the issue. Whether the support at the roots runs freely or under strain is described by the aspects to Jupiter, which is a separate question.
