The Moon can move 12-15 degrees in one day and may change signs. Generate charts for the beginning and end of the birth date to establish the range.
Fast-Planet Aspects
The Moon may apply to or separate from an aspect during the day. Mercury or Venus can also cross a sign or exact contact near a boundary.

Do not use a noon chart's houses as if noon were the actual birth time. A noon chart is a display convention.
Can I Guess My Rising Sign From Appearance?
Appearance, personality, and first impressions are not reliable enough to determine an exact Ascendant. Many chart factors can produce similar descriptions, and confirmation bias makes a preferred sign easy to “recognize.”
Birth-time rectification is a formal process that compares candidate times against dated life events. It can produce a strong working time, though it is a reconstruction rather than a recovered record, so hold it lightly.

- Use the correct birth date and location.
- Set a neutral display time such as noon.
- Turn off houses and angles.
- Calculate planetary ranges across the full day.
- Mark the Moon and any sign-boundary planets as uncertain.
- Interpret only stable factors.
- Update the chart if a record is found.
Where To Look For Your Birth Time
Check long-form birth certificates, hospital records, baby books, family records, baptismal records, birth announcements, and official vital-statistics offices. Ask relatives for documents, not only memory.
